In Valdosta, the night life can be the good life

In the song “Night Life,” Willie Nelson sings, “The night life ain’t no good life but it’s my life.”

Willie should have come to Greater Valdosta.

Here, the night life can most definitely be the good life.

From Downtown Valdosta’s First Fridays and new Art After Dark events to Remerton’s row of pubs and restaurants to plays produced by Theatre Guild Valdosta and VSU Theatre and more, the night life has become a way of life.

Greater Valdosta has become an exciting cocktail of art, music, theatre, neon, food, and friends. The streets echo to the sounds of music and conversation.

The sun may set but Valdosta is on its feet for the evening.

This month, Valdosta Scene photographers Paul Leavy and Pat Gallagher capture just a glimpse of Valdosta’s night scene. Consider these photographs as a few windows into Valdosta at night.

The night life can be the right life.
